Christine is a graduate of California State University, Bakersfield, with a B.S. degree in biology and minors in chemistry and English. After graduating, she spent time at Humboldt State University studying plant rarity and climate change. Since then she has worked as a biological consultant in the San Joaquin Valley doing surveys and assessments for special-status species such as Bakersfield cactus and blunt-nosed leopard lizard and in the Sierra National Forest helping tree crews avoid and minimize impacts to sensitive biological resources. In her spare time, she loves hanging out in the outdoors, spending time with her fiancé and cat, and reading.
