Stephanie grew up in Visalia, just down Highway 99 from Fresno. As a child she spent her mornings waking up early to catch a glimpse of Animal Planet before school. Her deep love of wildlife and nature led her to pursue a Rotary Youth Exchange program in Ecuador, where she lived and explored for 11 months during her junior year of high school. The beauty and wonder of the Amazon Rainforest and Galapagos Islands caused Stephanie to pursue a BS in Evolution, Ecology and Biodiversity from University of California, Davis and later an MS in Biology from California State University, Fresno. Throughout her life, Stephanie has worked and volunteered with many wildlife organizations in the US and found a passion for the conservation and rehabilitation of California native wildlife. In her free time, Stephanie enjoys volunteering with local organizations, reading, bowling, and spending time with her pets.
