SCOTT E. FRAZER, B.S.
Scott has nearly 40 years of experience as a biologist and natural resource manager. He completed a Bachelor of Science degree at Humboldt State University in 1979. While working for the USDA Soil Conservation Service, now called the Natural Resources Conservation Service, and the U.S. Fish and Wildlife Service, he worked extensively with private landowners to preserve and restore natural lands.
He acquired perpetual conservation easements on 13 private wetlands in the Tulare Basin and secured nearly 1000 acres of upland endangered species habitat while working at Kern National Wildlife Refuge. Through those experiences and others, Scott is well acquainted with the flora and fauna of the San Joaquin Valley.
Scott has also designed
and implemented wetland habitat restoration and waterfowl management projects in Suisun Marsh, Merced County Grasslands, and the Tulare Basin of California. He has also conducted aerial surveys of breeding waterfowl in the Prairie regions of Manitoba and Alberta and of snow coverage and snow pack in Oregon.
Luckily air sickness has never been a problem. In his free time Scott enjoys international travel, bird watching, hunting, and spending time with family.
