Applying Growing Knowledge of Natural Sciences in Projects
RACHEL L. LOPEZ,M.S.
Her father’s love for biology and his employment with the park service allowed Rachel to spend her youth living in Yosemite National Park and exploring its natural wonders. Although she has always loved the outdoors, she discovered her desire to pursue an education in natural sciences while attending a field biology course at Fresno City College. Rachel had the privilege of serving as a teaching assistant for the same course for three years as she completed her B.S. in Environmental Sciences and M.S. in Conservation Biology at C.S.U. Fresno. Through assisting at Fresno City College and mentoring undergraduates in her thesis work, Rachel developed a desire to share her love of nature with others and educate them in ways they can help protect natural resources. Rachel considers herself to be a life-long student of natural history and is excited to apply her growing knowledge of natural sciences to her work. In her free time, Rachel enjoys spending time with her family and dogs, camping, hiking, fishing, playing guitar, and engaged in many other outside activities.
